Going south from ‘Wells of Oded’ camp area you get to the actual wells. you’ll see a few fence covered holes with different levels of water in them. if you want a drink be sure to use purifiers and I recommend boiling as well. it’s not tasty and said to carry Bilharzia (parasitic desease).

My personal peak of peaks of Israeli tracks. for those who like yellowish views. the 360 degrees fantastic view from Mt. Arif (הר עריף)to the unexplainable ancient rock engravings of Mt. Karkom (הר כרכום). A tough trail for the strong legged and stubborn minded.

Well, this is it. the day we’ve waited for. well, at least I had. growing up in Sde-Boker Mt. Karkom seemed like the far-away-unachievable place of glory. distant, closed and mysterious. I was not dissapointed. five times I was there, five times I loved it. Definately going back.
